Provincial Chapter 2020
Day one
We prayed Evening Prayer and had the installation of our new Provincial, Fr. Luis J. Castañeda. In his message he invited us to see our personal past and the past of our Province in a healthy way. That is, approaching it in a balanced way, avoiding the extremes of ignoring it or over glorifying it. He encouraged us to take the best from the past, leave behind that which is no longer useful, and not dwell in it with nostalgia anymore. We are to build and live our present and future with creativity.
Next we proceeded to a nice dinner and reception to celebrate Fr. Luis Joaquin's 25th anniversary of religious profession.
The day was concluded with a report on the state of our Province by our former Provincial, Fr. Stephen Sanchez.
